For you who think Bill was fun, obviously you weren't in it's direct path. Diamonhead, MS? It came right in through Terrebone parish LA which is no where close to Diamondhead. While it was a TS, the flooding it brought with it was a nightmare for some of us. 4-5' of water in many homes.

With that being said, (and it's rather frustrating to see some talk about storms that they've experienced but yet they were 75-100 miles away), Terrebone parish floods with a high tide and south wind. We don't need any more storms. The only good thing I can say is that the water levels are a little low and it's rather dry. So that can only be in our favor to start like that.

TD 3 -Cindy to be, starting to get her act together tonight finally.
Sure seems like there's a Upper or Mid level Low in the NW GOM maybe that's why the dry air is there although it's starting wan.

Holly: Agreed.

Not to mention, there was a tornado that hit less than a mile from my house during Bill, and days later a neighbor said it hovered RIGHT OVER MY HOUSE before hitting the mobile home park just to the north and east of where I live.

Eh... I dunno Holly. The center swung across our area and we got under the LLC wall for about 10-15 minutes. Outside of playing beat the floodwaters (which I barely did trying to get home early from downtown), I had a lot of fun :)

But I understand where you're coming from.

I was in Mandeville, LA visiting my brother. He works in N.O. but lives in Mandeville, LA. Let me tell you that was one big mess we had to clean up. There were downed trees and limbs everywhere.

Looking at this (http://www.goes.noaa.gov/HURRLOOPS/gulfir.html) and this (http://coolwx.com/buoydata/data/storms/ ... -large.png) looks like there is a broad area of windiness; but other than that.... a horribly disorganized mess... color me skeptical of this system's current well-being.
