A little thunder in the background. Glad I had already planned to take today off, unfortunately if the rain keeps up, it's gonna cost me a vacation day and everyone else is gonna get a 1/2 storm day or something.

Hey Hardcard, long time. Just raining here. But I decided I'm moving my car to the traintracks if there is any room let on them to park!

If anything, I think Dennis will be more of a concern for us on the Central Gulf Coast. I know it is early, so nobody jump on me. But, some computer models have it hitting around Key Largo. That is the same exact spot Betsy hit. Then, of course, entering the GOM. From there, who knows? Anybody from Morgan City, LA to the Florida Panhandle need to be alert.

From Cindy-Already clearing up here. I am thinking that all the bad stuff will stay to my east. Usually everytime something seems to be headed straight this way, it always veers to our east.

In the CBD, heavy rain just started again (but lasted until i finished this e-mail). Last heavy band before I left home in Lakeview almost exactly an hour ago. No wind to speak of. Bands seem to be moving quickly cuz when I looked out the window twenty minutes ago, looked to be pretty far SW still.

Got the LL Bean duck boots on just to be safe.

Just finished our 2nd rainband [tm]. It lasted about 15 minutes. There was more thunder (as with the first band), but not much wind. For some reason, the NWS restarted the storm total after the first band moved through. I'm guessing we got about .5" giving us a day total of a little over 1" in the last hour and a half.

I live on the bayou in Lafitte. Some rain bands have come through, I have less than one inch so far- it's breezy here, and the bayou is up above normal.

Houma - Very light rain at the moment with a 2mph sustained wind gusting to 5. If I wouldn't know it was 75 degrees outside, I could almost imagine it being one of those gray winter days.

Hey T-Man....feel free to check out my radar. I have it focused on the coast and a little further south.
