This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Eerie Feeling for Louisiana Residents....

#1 Postby CYCLONE MIKE » Tue Jul 05, 2005 2:10 pm

Remeber back in 2002 Isidore came from the Yucatan and made landfall almost in the same location as Cindy is predicted as a strong tropical storm. Then a week later a little cat2 hurricane wondered in the GOM off of Cuba and suddenly bombed out in the SE gulf. We here in LA were thinking the world was about to end seeing that massive storm head straight for us. Well everyone knows what happened from there. Looking into the future this is so very similar. Just what will happen with Dennis is anyones guess as of now. Will he explode in the Gulf and make the rest of some areas hurricane season in LA a living hell or die a quick painless death just before landfall and be the talk of the season again. ONLY TIME WILL TELL?

from looking at the forcast track and models... looks like
most of... if not all of LA will be getting mainly NothEast winds...
some rain... if that's the case... tides won't rise too much.

With most of thew bad stuff to the east of center... MS/AL
could be in for a LONG night tomorrow...
