She looks to be moving due north right based on radar.

Where do you believe landfall will be exactly? Im thinking Biloxi is a good bet at the moment, if that NE turn comes to fruition. Where exactly are you located by the way MGC?

I wouldn't discount extreme SE La as just "marsh". A lot of people live down there, and I just built a fishing camp down there. Good people, and I know they are all suprised by this storm. I know, I was just there yesterday. But, I know what you mean. I wish yall could have had all of this storm.

Not as surprised as me. I was in Biloxi the last 3 days and had no clue of a storm until I woke up in my hotel this morning. I got to drive through a nice squall though I wish I could have stayed another day lol.

It is all marsh south of the city. I'm down there all the time. Highways have maybe 100' of land on either side in some places (if that). The nation has let us down as we wash into oblivion :(

Btw MGC, Louisiana should offer little if any weakness. The water inland is probably warmer than the water in the Gulf anyway.

Yep - gotta be careful about that. Gambling too much can have that effect. :lol:
