Lots of convection but its too late for anything more than a 70 mph TS. Again, if it was a cane, its not any longer.

Still rough, squally weather for LA, MS area.

BTW, do we really need ANOTHER thread about this?

Stormcenter, that is exactly what I just said in another thread. Look at how the rainshield is moving to the NW now. I did not think I was going to get a drop from this storm in my town(SE of Baton Rouge) but now I think we are in for at least a couple of descent bands.

It does looked like she slowed, may even close to stalling? Streets are flooding in New Orleans. She better get moving soon.

Definately looks like she has slowed and jogged to the NW. We are getting some heavy squalls at the present time. Pressure continues to drop. Now at 29.78 and falling rapidly. Lost electricity for about an hour. About 74,000 Entergy customers are now without electricity. Winds have been gusting 30-40 MPH. Have received now 1.97 inches with a rainfall rate of about .50 inches per hour in squalls.

I completely agree with you on that. this is the closest the rain bands have been to us all day. She looks just as good on radar as a few hours ago IMO

It seems that way Tim, but I just checked back at the radar and it seems as of 11:15 the shield stopped progressing westward. Maybe the radars jumpy who knows, because it also looks as if Cindy has stalled near Houma

It looks to be moving again after it's little pit stop. It also looks to be going NNE again.
