Interaction of Cindy's "tail" on Dennis?

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Interaction of Cindy's "tail" on Dennis?

#1 Postby Canelaw99 » Wed Jul 06, 2005 4:36 pm

Hate to start a new thread, but this seemed to get buried in the place I originally posted....

OK - so here's a question because I"m trying to learn the way these things interact....

According to the latest water vapor, there's a loooonnnnggggg tail extending through the Gulf from Cindy. Won't that continue to move east as her remnants do? If so, what effect will that have on Dennis? Was this tail expected to drape that far through the Gulf?

Thanks!!!

This was posted by Ed Dunham over at CFHC. He says there could be a big impact of the wake of Cindy on the overall path of Dennis. He's a retired met from NWS Melbourne; and a good one at that. See his blog at CFHC.

the idea of Cindy leaving soemthing behind is bunk. Frances sure didn't leave anything behind for Ivan

THe above is a quote from Derek Ortt in the Analysis fourm. The question was almost exactly the same as yours.\

Tom Terry in Orlando says to watch the trough coming down from the midwest, behind Cindy, as he is not sure what effect if any it will have on Dennis and the Ridge.
