Should have warned you guys that I was going out to mow the lawn. That way you would have known that Dennis was going to make hurricane when it did (i.e. when I was away from the computer).

Ah, OK, 24000-30000 feet, I presume?

I was surprised because I knew the Gulfstream was out there now and this WP-3 flight wasn't in the POD for NHC.

Like yesterday's flight however, it was in the POD for the research people in Costa Rica : http://camex.msfc.nasa.gov/tcsp/public_ ... mit=Submit

I'm not sure where they took off, but they've been flying around for a bit.

I think you are crossed up...

NOAA9 is the designator for the Gulfstream IV that launched this afternoon and has been flying for a while now (and had the 41,000-45,00 feet mission).

The designator on this message, NOAA3, is the WP-3.

You're right... I don't know what I was thinking. I think it's a lack of sleep.

Yes, this looks like another low-level fix flight.

Would be nice to get a vortex soon. I'd bet the pressure is lower than 985....
