It's RAIN, glorious RAIN!!

My 6 week old kittens got up and ran to the window when it started to pour!! You gotta figure, even though they were feral at birth - they probably never experienced rain before!!

It's raining here now! :)

Also, I got a nice downpour on the 4th of July. Nothing excessive, but enough to keep me from having to water the lawn.

I was in the shower this morning when I heard a noise. My best friend usually comes by in the morning (parks her car at my house since I'm so close to UTMB) and has a cup of coffee. So, when I heard the noise, I thought it was her. Called out to make sure and got no answer. Then a few seconds later, I heard it again. Realized it was *gasp!* thunder! So, then I had to hurry to get out of the shower since it was storming.

It poured for about a half hour and then died down just in time for me to leave for work and not get drenched.

I'm jealous, extremely jealous. I wonder if the CC radar would even know what rain was if it detected it?

With this drought, I have a bad feeling about Corpus. I think a significant Tropical system will directly affect you all this summer. A higher threat than the upper TX coast.

You and me both. We'll either end this drought/heat wave with a storm or we will have a cold and damp winter with numerous low temps broken. I prefer the cooler option. The drought will not end just through a normal transition.

So far this week, I got a nice shower on the 4th of July, a *little* rain Tuesday night, storms overnight both Wednesday and Thursday and strong enough storms today to knock out my power!!! I was jumping up and down with glee! My yard is very grateful.
