I know here we go again... but

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Has anyone noticed a more distinctive northly turn then previous has been in the last few loops. I know even IF so it is most likely just a log. Just wondering , Thanks

It starts to get so old with the talk of jogs. I am not trying to knock you at all. I just think we should concentrate on things that happen over hours and not minutes. If you are talking loop to loop then you will see jogs quite a bit. Just relax. If Dennis wants to turn he will.

FWIW, I think Dennis has trended slightly N for quite a while now.

I understand and I'm sorry if you feel this is directed at you, but it gets old when people jump all over the jogs.

If you come back in thirty minutes you probably will see a.... did you see that west jog? post.

No, I'm sorry I just don't see it. I have two loops running and you can make out pretty well where the center is, especially on the NASA MSFC site where I have it zoomed in to the max.

Dennis is right on the NHC forecast track or perhaps even slightly south of it. I thought for sure an eye was going to pop out a little while ago but it hasn't quite done so yet but it's close. I does look like the convection has weakened a little on the west side of the storm though.

Unless I am insane, I really would not want to see a Tampa Landfall.

I think WNW is being generous. I agree, it was moving WNW earlier, but right now it almost looks due west. What does it matter though....except to the people of Jamaica? It's going where it's going.

Put all the jogs together, you get a WNW movement

Yep, all these wobble posts aren't really needed.
He wobbled north, now he wobbles west, it's all part of what he's been doing it seems. Just hoping he decides to wobble north soon so he can pass Jamaica rather than run over it.

Edit: Maybe not wobble north too much, as that might make him crash into Jamaica, but wobble west more .. yeah .. that, so you can stay away from me :D

As I'm sure you've heard before:
Hurricanes do NOT travel in straight lines, these wobbles are expected and will continue to occur. Don't stress over them, even I myself have been recently but just let Dennis move where he wants, thats what he will do anyway. We just must sit back and watch from afar what his next move is, and we must live with it and take proper action in response to it.

Does anyone know why the FNMOC WW3 analysis indicates a Homestead/Miami landfall? I know it's just waves/swells but it's so far off everyone elses track I found it interesting. Earlier this afternoon it paralleled the other tracks but was always the most eastward.

Sorry, I screwed up the link...too sleepy...!
