Also the 00Z GFDL has shifted a little East toward Destin. This was expected, because when the GFS shifts East usually the GFDL, and the NHC suite follows.

Yes, totally expected. And why the NHC almost always follows the GFDL to a tee still amazes me...

Don't be surprised at all to see a eastward shift in the NHC at 5, especially if its Avila...he's the true GFDL hugger.

And of course everybody's going to scream its coming to FL, I'm sure.

Just like I'm sure the 0600 NHC suite is going to shift East right over the Mobile/ Biloxi area. It was over New orleans last run. These models and the GFDL are run off of the GFS.

I think any landfall forecast between Destin and New orleans is justified. He may slide it a little East but it won't be much. IMHO

Hopefully not.

However, as I said, just a slight east track will get all the FL people hyped up, just like they did for the awful NAM and CMC.

The thing is the ridge is already strenghtening so its continuing to diminish the chances of a FL anything, at least in the peninsula.

just as expected the NHC Model suite has shifted East because of the GFS. They are between Biloxi and Destin.
