For those engrossed with Dennis......

#1 Postby dixiebreeze » Thu Jul 07, 2005 8:46 am

President Bush has issued a message for Americans to remain very vigilant in the wake of the 7 bombing attacks by al Quaeda today on London. Seems the war is not over by far. The summer is scary enough with Dennis on the way and now this!

<p>Many deaths and injuries. Prayers for our British friends.

Thanks Dixiebreeze, great post. Kinda puts everything into prospective.

Keep an eye on Dennis, I have a feeling this weekend will not be a good one.

Hey Dixie, Here we are back for another season.
Thanks for your post, sometimes with a big storm brewing I think we all tend to forget the world and all it's problems are still out there. Keeping all in my thoughts and prayers.

Not only GOM on alert. Am hearing now that most major east coast cities are on heightened alert. Casualties continue to come in from London.

45 dead, 1,000 injured from Sky News. Very sad... but not surprising. I'm surprised they haven't hit the U.K. before now.

Brent, yes, I really expected it long before now. Some sources saying it might have been initiated with cell phones! No confirmation.

So, what are your thoughts on Bush being out of the country? He's in a bad situation. Needs to stay for the summit but needs to get to safety. Thoughts?

He can't really leave the summit... and unless something happens in the U.S. I wouldn't expect him too. Tony Blair is only leaving briefly and then will return. Of course, Scotland also borders the U.K.

Security is VERY VERY tight. I wouldn't worry about something happening there... that's likely why they hit London.

Terror from Dennis and terror from terrorists -- a very scary day. The northerly jogs of Dennis right now has Floridians on the edge.

Brent,

I see it the same way. IF the terrorists hit London because of the summit then Bush leaving would achieve the terrorists goals IMO.

As for the n jog. I'm watching with a little more anxiety myself. Things have changed a little since I went to bed last night.
