This enviroment is very favable. If it was not for Cuba, Dennis would most likely be on his way to becoming a cat5. I expect he will still out of the water for another 12 to 18 hours. Then make landfall over flater part of Cuba some time later tomarrow. I expect this storm to quickly get it back together.

Look at a quality loop zoomed in. Select 100% quality.
You will see the northwester section of the CDO was much leaner than its southern counterpart, as it was wrapping convection.
It hit the protrusion from cuba right at this point, when the northwest eyewall was weak. This is why it broke open.

no swimdude they were talking about dennis tonight.
It was an off hand comment and the other guys said that it was too early to tell if it was a wobble or what. The were not talking about center reformations like what happend with cindy.
Like I said it sounded strange but I didn't know so I asked.
