well wind-wise the definition of a cat 5 hurricane is greater than 155mph... 150kt at FL is 155.5 lol

NHC wont upgrade as it will weaken soon, but its very borderline and just makes it into Cat 5 territory.

Absolutely.

Well, now that the eye is coming over land, theres no chance of it being upgraded to a Category 5.

It does have a reasonable mountain range to make its way over in the next hour or so. After that its pretty much flat all the way to the GOM...
