Sooner landfall... and less time to weaken over Cuba. Very very bad for people in the path.

Good news in Cuba, but bad news everywhere else.

Woo - got our first bit of thunder here in H-stead....been a little windy today, but nothing bad so far....

They've been saying that conditions will start deteriorating as the day goes on, but getting bad overnight. At the rate he's moving, it may be a smidge earlier than that....

A met for a large company told them today that since Dennis made landfall sooner/more east than the forecast that this was good for the west coast of FL as Dennis, heading NW, would be over land much longer.

Let's hope this guy is correct!
