Safest Place In Home?

I looked through the other post and dint see where the safest place in a house is . I live in Destin, Fl. and am real concerned about a safe place.

I think an interior bathroom is the best in a home without a designated safe room. Second best is any other interior room. By interior, I mean with no walls on the outside of the home.

Interior room with no windows... just like in a tornado. Put as many walls between you and the outside as possible. Hallway or closet works.

If you have a neighbor with a basement, bake them a cake and go to their house. :lol:

As kids we always got in my moms closet in her bedroom. They have a very small window in their room. It's to the back of the house away from flying debris. The middle halfway in our house has always been a favorite during storms as well.

Destin is generally considered to be a coastal/barrier island, and is going under mandatory evacuations at 6:00 am tommorrow.

So time to get further inland.
