Interesting feature on the new GFS...

Notice the bend wnw after landfall, with the ridge building in over top. Perhaps if this storm is any slower than forecasted, this trough/shortwave complex over the southern miss valley could lift out, and a ridge would build in over Dennis, shoving the cane into louisiana.

Keep this in mind while Dennis toils around down in Cuba... As it's only an issue of timing...
