Oops, sorry mamadude. I didn't see your post here and I posted the same thing on another thread.
Hope this lifts and doesn't do damage. These people must think they live in tornado alley!

:o I saw the warnings on TWC and I didn't remember that that area had been hit by a tornado in La Plata. Geez!!!

The La Plata tornado was about 2 years ago wasn't it? It was an F3 also if I'm not mistaken.

The La Plata, MD tornado I think was last year..It was reclassified an F4, after being categorized as an F5 originally.

#%(&_)&^ My grandparents live in White Plains, and no one is answering the call. Please keep them in your prayers.

And at 6:15 it went through Nanjemoy, where my dad,his new wife and new baby live. I will keep trying.

No Steph, I grew up in Charles County, MD. I went to High School in La Plata, MD, the town devastated by last years tornado. My dad lives in Nanjemoy, MD, about 20 miles to the southwest of LaPlata, my grandparents live in White Plains, the two towns mentioned in mamadude's post. I live in NY now, but my heart is back home. I was not very happy to see they were under a tornado warning, but glad it seems everyone is ok.

As of 9PM, there is NO confirmation of a tornado in any of the VA/MD warned counties. That's not a knock on NWS, the Radial on this cell was impressive. I've only received wind damage and funnel OBS, no tornado.
This may change but ATTM nothing official. Note the warning is "Doppler RADAR" and not ground truth.

Also, the LaPlata tornado was April 28, 2002 during the Mid-Atlantic mini-outbreak last year.. NWS rated it an F5 but it was reduced by SPC personnel to an F4.
