There aren't very many large trees around us, so that's good.
NNW track has started.

Looking at the Key West radar, the most recent loops look almost due north.

Earlier, CNN met Jacqui Jeras used paper on the map to show that it WAS turning more north and could mean a major shift in the track. However, Max Mayfield is on there now and just slammed her. He said this is totally expected and only a wobble, it should go back on track, and pointed out that it was west earlier, meaning it balances out.
He also told CNN that their whole forecast track was wrong and corrected it for them. Thought that was neat...

I know..
I know I don't have to point this out, but I think it should be noted that we are at a time, in my opinion, where each and every "wobble" is crucial to the eventual landfall.

Me too.....
Hey, no doubt its going more north (dare I say due north), but this is not unexpected. FL panhandle is still in trouble from this storm whether its a direct hit or not. People should already have left or else their lives are in danger.

Max Mayfield was on CNN and acknowledged the track and said there is no reason to adjust it at this time. He slammed the CNN met for saying that it would be necessary.
Doesn't get more official than that...

Well Max was sure wrong last year with Charley wasn't he?
Charley was a different situation entirely. No need for a comparison. Come on, its strange these same people weren't making a huge fuss for a west shift when there was the WNW jog.
