Strengthening on landfall?

#1 Postby baitism » Sun Jul 10, 2005 12:15 pm

I know the pressures have gone up recently. But I think they will drop a few MB from 939 before landfall. The singnature on the visible and IR has improved with the storm becoming more symmetric and the could tops getting colder.

Yeah I mentioned that (rises in pressure). But I think that is the end of the weakening and even a possibility of some strengthening. Could be wrong but satellite images can tell you alot that recon doesnt....

He still does look good on radar. FORTUNATELY, the winds have dropped from 145 MPH to 135 MPH as Sanibel noted.

This is still a FIERCE storm though!
