Highway 98 west of bridge in Port St Joe: WIPED OUT

#1 Postby browe29 » Sun Jul 10, 2005 3:33 pm

Just talked to my business partner. Highway 98 just west of the bridge in St Joe has been wiped out. The actual words used from person on the scene was "the ocean has breached 98".

This was in Highland View area.

Gulf Breeze must be an an island now.
At least mainland Pensacola got off lighter than expected in the western eyewall.

My mistake it was 98 between Okalossa Island and Destin which has a very low elevation. No development to protect it from surge either
