The outer bands are just starting to reach us in north GA. Should be a windy, rainy night. Hopefully the bad stuff will die down soon.

It's been real bad here for the last hour or two. We're west of Atlanta in the I-75 corridor above I-20, so it's been going through downtown, then coming here.

Don't know if anything actually touched down at Turner Field, but wouldn't surprise me. Been dark, rainy and a little scary (but not nearly as scary as Ivan was).

Just caught this bit:

If there was an ACTUAL Tornado over Marietta, they never called a Tornado warning in Cobb County (Marietta is the County Seat for Cobb County).

The only Tornado Warning was for Fulton. Someone blew it.

Your right... Cobb County was under a Severe Thunderstorm Warning. I distinctly remember watching Fox 5 and they never mentioned a Tornado Warning for Cobb...

I just went out on the front porch to check things...the storm sewers in front of our house and the house across the street are blocked.

Our road is flooded with 6 inches of water, our front yard has about 3 inches, and the neighbor across the street has probably about 6 in their backyard (they are down hill from the street). I sure hope their basement is OK.

Boy is this fun.

Been watching Fox 5 too. NO ONE called a Tornado Warning for Cobb. From what I can tell, it didn't touch down...but there surely would be heck to pay if it had and there was damage--or worse--casualties. Still can't believe they didn't call a Tornado WARNING, when one was clearly over that area.

I only get the Fox 5 newscasts on a local channel here... so I'll check it out at 10.

It's not fun here either, but it's not too bad. Had some gusty winds, but nothing significant. Flooding is a concern though. We've already had at least 3 to 4 inches based on it raining for 8 hours now... and it's not over yet. I'm feeling better about the lack of wind though, but the center is still southwest of here.

I saw the footage of that possible tornado here in Atlanta this evening. It was scary looking.

This whole thing is scary. I've been sitting under a very LONG feeder band since early this AM. My house is flooded...not the living area (yet), but I have a river running through the backyard, the crawl spaces is flooding, a lake in the front yard, the street is flooded and it's still pouring.

This is current conditions for Atlanta. See that long feeder band? It's been over us for hours, and still not finished. :grr:

Pray for us....this is getting bad.
