Dennis/Sharks?

I know this is a stupid question, but been dying to ask anyway. We all know about the recent sharks attacks near Destin and Panama City Beach. Now that Dennis has passed, do you think the sharks are going to be further out or closer to the beaches again?

Early yesterday, FOX News posed that question to a shark expert who said that there was no coorelation that they could tell.

On a similar note... would a hurricane impact Red Tide? I noticed that it wasn't so stinky near the water when I got in the car this morning to go to work. Maybe all the wind and rain got rid of the Red Tide! :D

It will help with the red tide for now, but that is a fungal problem, and
depending on what Dennis brought with him, you may have some new fungus problems. No overnight answers for long term effects on Red Tide.

Last year's storms helped to get the red tide back off the beaches. We need some continuing easterly winds to get it and those dead fish outta Tampa Bay and keep the red blob off shore.

the sharks are all up in st. marks attacking those fools that were walking around in the flood waters.

I don't know about sharks, but a busy storm season in the GOM usually foretells a good stone crab season starting Oct. 1. Can't wait, love stone crab.

I believe the Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce has a new campaign - come to Myrtle Beach, we've had no shark attacks and our beaches have plenty of sand. In the batle of redneck rivieras, the Grand Strand is the obvious winner today.
