This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

I am new to this whole thing , but SE of TD 5 there is a wave getting better organized. Could this form into TD 6?

Like I said in the other thread, its possible.

Typically, the process is if it still looks interesting after a few days of being over water (after coming off Africa) it will get pegged as a Tropical Depression Invest..in this case, it would be INVEST 99L.

Once we see that, it'll start to be monitored for development.

This from the 11:30 TWO:

THE TROPICAL ATLANTIC CONTINUES TO BE UNUSUALLY ACTIVE FOR
JULY...WITH A VIGOROUS TROPICAL WAVE LOCATED ABOUT 700 MILES
SOUTHWEST OF THE CAPE VERDE ISLANDS. ANY DEVELOPMENT OF THIS
SYSTEM...HOWEVER...IS EXPECTED TO BE SLOW TO OCCUR.

Is possible but I think they are too close, remember last year Karl and Lisa, or Lisa and the disturbance behind her, something like that!
