TD#5 in Southern GOM early next week?

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

No possible way you could forecast the intensity this far out.

Looks to me as if it might move further west (Corpus, maybe) if that ridge is far enough into LA. (I'm guessing though...what do I know? :) )

Don't worry, as long as I live in Houston a cane will never hit. The Goverment should start paying me to deflect these storms.

Well, thanks. But are you rain repellant too? If so, just stop that!

Don't forget...we also have the Opera Ghost Hurricane Shield to protect us, unless she goes out of town next week.

Where is OG anyway? Anyone seen her online this year?

TWo reasons it doesn't need to go to Texas:

1. We don't want it, only the rain.
2. We don't want it, only the rain.
3. My nephew is getting married in two weeks and we don't need to be cleaning up from a cane.

Ok so I made it three!! Sue me!!

I think it's pretty funny that we're discussing the storm, whose name we dare not mention, which isn't even close to Barbados yet, and whether it will hit a specific spot, two seas away.
I also think it's funny, that with the clever use of commas, one can make a sentence nearly as long as one chooses, if one so chooses.

Perhaps you could offer your services to Jeb Bush .... I'll bet they would pay you a pretty penny to move to Florida at this point! :P

okay, home finally! traffic was so horrible on i-65 coming home we had to take the side roads. now, we have to undo everything we did to prepare for this storm. but, we are so grateful! navarre, p'cola beach, santa rosa county, and atmore are in pretty bad shape and we know it could've easily been us. that said... i really don't think i can hear much more about tropical storms, at least for the next 24 hours. i cannot believe they are already predicting this td into the gulf! nope, nope... cannot handle it. i'll check back in with y'all in a day or so after i stick my ostrich head in the ground for a little while and hope this td goes away!

p.s. thanks for being there during dennis, y'all! :)

Glad you made it home safe and sound baby, I mean denialgirl. Living in New Orleans, we evacuated for Ivan and Georges. I know what a pain it is especially when you have to listen to your friends and family who stayed.

I would not be surprized if the ridge is strong enough this storm pulled a Iris 2001.
