Trough by Bermuda

That trough by Bermuda looks like it might pull TD5 NW then back West, See how its dipping South.Could that affect Emily's path?

Right now, that trough is not having influence on the TD. It's too far away, and in the mean time, it looks like the ridge ahead of the TD is holding its own or maybe building slightly west. In a couple of days, that trough should start pulling out, if I've read the weather maps correctly...

At 168 hours, that's an interesting looking feature toward the SE part of the screen. Is the GFS saying that's Emily or something else? If it's saying that's Emily, I think it will be horribly wrong.

Yeah, that sure looks way off. I was thinking maybe that is what is behind Emily, but that system is far to the south.

It's behind Emily. Model is trying to drive it through the high.
