Africa remains busy!

#1 Postby ThunderMate » Tue Jul 12, 2005 7:59 am

Look at this satellite image i have. It shows North Africa with wave after wave coming off the coast creating Cape Verde storms already in not even mid July yet. Any thoughts on this?http://hurricane.accuweather.com/hurricane/maps-satellite.asp?partner=accuweather&myadc=0&anim=STILL&type=ir&large=1&region=AFRN

I see 7,8,9 not too far behind!

Seriously, it looks to be a very busy pattern. Good work.

I *doubt* all these storms will make it across...i think common sense would tell you that eventually the Ridge will break down and allow some of these Systems to go out to Sea or as some But ppl like to say, "go fish"
But yes i love the Excitement and enthusiam of watching them trek across...i already expressed my Thoughts on this in a Thread i made over the Weekend

The one behind Emily will be Franklin(a recurver), the one right off the CV will be Gert(a Florida threat), the one about to emerge will be Harvey(a TS that gets sheared), and the one in the center of Africa will be Irene(a potential East Coast threat).
