I'm Back, Power and local Obs. from Dennis........

#1 Postby Dean4Storms » Tue Jul 12, 2005 7:11 pm

Just got my power back about 1 hour ago. Had to come in here and download all my info to the computer from my Davis Vantage Pro. Not much damage around my hood, but right along the beach is another story which is more due to the shortage of beach left from Ivan than what Dennis produced IMO.

Here just east of Destin and 1 mile inland we recieved 4.96" total storm rainfall; Max. wind gust 52mph at 1:40pm on Sunday and lowest pressure to 29.17" at the same time.

Glad to be back and I hope everyone came through OK.

Dodged a bullet. I thought you would have gotten more flooded.

Glad everything turned out Ok for you!

Those barrier islands sure won't be ready for any other "tropical visitors" until there is some sufficient beach renourishment.

Welcome back. I'm glad that your damage and inconvenience was minimal. May the rest of the season be a quiet one for all of you on the N. Gulf coast! :D

Good to hear that you came through alright. From what I've heard so far it seems like Santa Rosa county beared the brunt of it.
