The disturbance that became Emily also "went poof" shortly after emerging. The one that just emerged still retains good structure, as Emily did.

The one that came off Africa has low pressure associated with it and circulation, just no strong convection with it. Surely will have to be watched down the road. 99L will develop; if it delays development it will get on the westbound train, but that is to be seen, as the models take it north through what they see as a weakness in the ridge. Too early to tell.

I think it has very good structure. I usually can't pick out those waves so well on the water vapor imagery, but with this one, I can.
