I'm not a new member, but I will put in my 0.02 in anyway. :D

I was a member at the old storm99 website - as well as storm 98 and possibly storm 97. I followed everyone over when this site opened. :-)

I don't even remember. I think I was searching on yahoo about Hurricane Frances around the 27th-28th of August and found this site. I lurked for a few days just reading all the threads then finally joined.

Last year, fellow poster and coworker BC told me about it. Now more than half the office reads S2K.

A business associate and I were talking about Hurricane Francis before it came here last year and I told him of my fascination with hurricanes since I was little. I remember Betsy and Cleo when I was going to elementary school and have followed for the 40 years since then. He told me that I would love this site and he was right.

The site is amazing and I visit many times a day during the Hurricane season.
I wish I would have known about it sooner.
How long has it been around?

I have also recommended it to many and will continue to do so.

I found S2K through a link on WREL's Hurricane page, which I found through a link on TWC's tropical forum.

I was looking for doing a yahoo search looking for computer models and came across the WREL site which led me to here back in 2003.
