My sister-in-law lives in Bay City, TX. Since we evacuated during Ivan last year (damages) and left for Dennis last week (no damage), she's commented more than once about our evacuations, more that a little derisively. Then complained about how tired she was of hearing about the hurricanes, etc.
I have to wonder what she'll say if Emily comes a'knocking.
Edited: I did email her this morning sending her the computer model tracking. She's not very aware of her surroundings, etc. and has never had to prepare or evacuate for a storm. I'm not heartless.

I think I read elsewhere about the possibility of wind shear.
*praying hard for wind shear*

The pro mets on board are best to answer this ... but there is an upper level low to the west of Emily that is moving in tandem to the storm .. the ULL is creating substantial shear to the western part of the circulation envelope. In fact, NHC earlier today indicated the ULL is stronger than orginally thought.

No you're not. Very nice of you...hopefully she won't tell you she's tired of hearing about Emily. She might get really tired of hearing about her if she visits her though!
