Prayer and thoughts to Yucatan residents
Emily is DANGEROUSLY close to category 5 status.
One thing is pretty certain - landfall along the Yucatan
late Sunday night or early mnday morning.
My thoughts and prayers go out to those in the path of Emily.
While we have discussions about "what storm was the baddest"
(camille, 1935, andrew, etc) all have one thing in common -
they were DEADLY category 5 hurricanes.
Even if she stays at a 4 - there will be extreme damage to the landfall area.

Accordin to this loop Emily is just a little to the right of the projected path.
If this holds, or becomes more pronounced,Grand Cayman may be in big trouble.
I heard they took a beating from Ivan last year so they really dont need a direct hit fromEmily.
Click on the visible image loop and check the forcast points check box on the upper right of the screen and you can see she is a little to the right of the projected path.

Thoughts and prayers with the Mexican Yucatan! And as someone else mentioned, the Caymans as well...
I was at sun palace last year, my feeling is the hotel zone in cancun is more sound to survive a cat 4 then south florida is.

yer right Doug. I donno whats going on.
Stop it on the last frame of that loop then go back three frames and you will see what I saw earlier. Musta been a fluke or a glitch in the forcast points cause now the track has been extended all the way to Yucatan and Miss Emily is definately north of the forcast line.

My friends and I went to Bahia Principe on the Riveria Maya in March 2003. All of those resorts are right on the beach!
There was also a horse ranch called Loma Bonita that would give horse rides to the beach near by. I hope that ranch will be alright too!
