Poll-what is your favorite breed of dog?
Attention-all dog lovers, what is your favorite breed? Mine is a tie between a Yorkie and a boxer. I just lost my Yorkie Lacey just a little over 2 weeks ago. I would love to own another Yorkie and hopefully a boxer someday. I obviously can't put every breed down in the poll, so if your favorite is not on here, just vote other. And then you can just leave a comment

I voted Other...had a Vizsla (Hungarian Pointer) named Captain during my high school years when I lived in Ohio.
Also, my niece and nephew have a Beagle each...her's is Princess and his is Oreo.
Will be going to PetsSmart later this afternoon to buy some more food and snack stuff for my folks and I's Betta fish...while there we'll look at some of the dogs up for adoption just for the fun of it...my niece and nephew want to see if there's a Beagle among them.

I've got a boxer. I used to not like them until I bought her. They're pretty much the most family-adaptable dog going, and they absolutely love kids. When mine breaks free, sometimes parents walking their kids in the neighborhood freak when she goes up and attacks them. But then she jumps up only enough to kiss them on the mouth and runs off.

I could barely look at that picture without choking up. Your dog is sooooo cute. Looks just like my Lacey. She was a Yorkie. Lost her June 30th this year to chronic kidney failure. She was 13 years old. I miss her sooooo much. We might be getting another Yorkie soon.OklahomaWeather wrote:Yorkie, Yorkie!I can't help it, my parents always had Yorkies while I was growing up, and once I got out on my own, I couldn't live without one.

Oh I love most animals, especially dogs but my favorite has to be a boxer because my dog Radar O'Reilly is a boxer mix. He is 2 yrs old and still acts like a puppy even though he is a large dog. He is wonderful with children and very even tempered. He sleeps in my daughters room all night and that gives me a secure feeling because I know if a stranger ever tried to get in the house he would protect her with his own life. Also if a stranger came to her window he would bark like a wild man and scare him off and alert me to the danger. He is not just a best friend but part of the family as well... Long Live Radar.... hence my nickname!

If I may make one comment about the choices, I think Alaskan Husky should be changed. As far as AKC recognized breeds, there is no such thing. There is a Siberian Husky and an Alaskan Malamute. As I have read in many books, the "Alaskan Husky" is a mix of northern breeds to get the best for a sled dog. But, all good choices!!

I do not have a favorite because I have alot of different breeds from the Pit to the Pomeranian and there is a Welsh Corgi in there somewhere. lol. All of them have different personalities. I have a Jack Russell that is very hard headed. My Pomeranian will catch a frisbee but the Jack Russell won't. lol.
