Both of their mets today, Jill Brown (last name correct?) and Rob Marciano are superb. They mention about the recon flights and talk about the storm's satelite signature and outflow, etc. They are great.
I think the reason for this is that all of CNN's mets are AMS certified. This is what allows them to provide such strong coverage, IMO.
What really impresses me is that they have already made Emily the top story and are helping inform people of the situation early on.
Now, with Rick Sanchez and hurricane 1, CNN is putting TWC to shame and TWC is supposed to be about the weather for heaven's sake!
CNN has always had a strong hurricane team with Jeff Flock, John Zarella, Gary Tuchman but now with the addition of some very strong mets (Orleon Sydney and Jaquie Jeras too) and Anderson Cooper, whenever a major hurricane bears down on North America, I know who I am going to turn to.
So, once again, kudos to CNN!!
