The ones I remember the most are:

My first one - Frederic
Elana
Danny
Georges
Ivan
TS Cindy

I am sure there were other close ones and TS but not very memorable.

Andrew while renting a house in Marathon, Fla.

Andrew skirted us in Palm Beach when we got home.

Bertha while on our sailboat in Marsh Harbour, Bahamas.

Georges while at the dock on Stock Island, Florida on our Trawler.

Jeanne here on Vieques which gave us over 30" of rain in a day and a half.

One unmentioned is the Hurricane of Halloween that hit Florida and we lost Chuck Muer on his boat "Charley's Crab" Although not officially a hurricane this blew up so quick the NHC did not even have time to name it.

Grew up on the Chesapeake, and have worked and lived in MD, NC, and FL my whole life...

I am an Emergency Services professional with the state of NC, and am very active with the Air National Guard and have been activated for every storm we have seen in NC since 96'. Was living in S. Fla during Andrew, and was activated then whil in the Air Guard with Fla... So for some reason, I have been in hurricanes somewhere nearly every year.

As a youngster, David-1979

Was fishing off Ocean City MD. before getting run of by Gloria-1985

Was fishing the Gulf Stream ahead of Hugo-1989 (not too smart, but fishing was phenominal)

Activated by FL to Homestead for Andrew-1992

Activated by FL for Erin and Opal-1995

Activated by NC for Bertha and Fran-1996

Activated by NC for Bonnie-1998

Activated by NC for Dennis, Floyd and Irene-1999

Activated by NC for Isabel-2003

So guess I've had my share...

well considering I live in England...my answer is NONE!!!

however they do tend to pump massive amounts of mositure and latent heat over this way.One main exception last year was Lisa, which became extra-tropical just a few hundred miles away and was still extra-tropical by the time it came over the U.K.

oh and although not a hurricane, the storm on the night of the 15/16th was still massivly powerful and highest sustained winds were 63mph,with gusts in the south of england reaching 90mph,certainly caused many of our oaks and larger trees to collaspe and also blocked roads and took down power.

I guess I am the one clueless. I thought Chuck went down in our October storm.

I stand corrected.

I haven't been in a hurricane yet. Call me crazy but i'd like ot know what it is like to go through one in person. It is one thing to hear about it and another for actually being there. and I think once some one has gone through a hurricane they will be more likey to respect them.

I remember that one well. We called it the March 13th storm. It really blew hard here as my assistant was getting married. Some structural damage and then it went up to the NE as a blizzard.

I was in TD Opal in '95 in Indiana: I remember it being quite breezy that day :).

I was in Isabel in 2003, and Frances in 2004, both direct hits by the eye (of course I deliberately placed myself there, along with the DOW (Doppler on Wheels radar trucks) crew).

by the way... are nested parentheses legal? ;)

During which storms or hurricanes have you been present at?
Rochester, Minnesota, when Hurricane Alicia's remnant swirl (still quite distinct on satellite) passed overhead and squeezed out a few sprinkles.
