Those photos are impressive. The best time and location to see mammatus is on the tail end of the storm toward the late afternoon and evening when clouds and shadows combined with remaining sunlit skies behind the storm can make them look dramatic.

I've some some good ones..but I must say, not sure ever anything like these from the open country in Nebraska.

Nice job by the photographer.

You'll see those hanging from the anvil heads of supercells up and down the plains; most aren't quite as photogenic (read: obscured by rain or scud) as these -- there's obviously a thick dry layer.

http://www.ksntv.com/news/coolwxpics/ I had run across these mammatus photos on another website where everyone thought these were photoshopped too. These were taken by a television station in Joplin Missouri. Mammatus clouds just look strange and unusual anyway you look at them.
