#1 Postby dwg71 » Sun Jul 17, 2005 10:24 pm

I know there is a possibility of anything, but with 99% certainty who is clear?

There are two directions on the texas coastline. You can go south or north.

Don't make this more difficult. Its very simple.

We do not have a "northern" coast and a "southern" coast. The area from Houston/Galveston over to the LA border is called "Southeast Texas", not the North Texas coast. Galveston Girl was correct. We are on the southeast Texas coast. That is how we refer to it.

Oh, and I think everyone this side of Corpus is probably okay...though I voted East of Matagorda just to be safe.

Galveston is considered "Upper" Texas, since your coastline is the most north.

Still the point was you move north OR south along the coastline.....you do not move east from Brownsville and stay on the coastline...you end up in the GOM.

Yes, and if you move North or South from Matagorda, you end up in Dallas (north) or the Gulf (south). You go East to West from there. I don't mean to start a fight, I was merely pointing out that Galveston Girl was correct. We are on the Southeast Texas coast, or Upper Texas coast if you prefer. She made a simple statement and was corrected, when in fact she used the term that we use in this area to describe our location in regards to the coast. Sorry if it doesn't fit into a tidy, neat description.
