Cancun radar back up - Emily at landfall

Coming in just north of Tulum (over Xel Ha). Northern eyewall blasting Xcaret and Playa del Carmen. Strong east side directly over Cozumel city.

The northeast quad is right over Cozumel...Wow

If you used the Google that eye would be 25 miles wide. I suspect it is registering too high and the surface center is slightly smaller and south...

I think the eye is smaller than whats being stated, but it seems fairly accurate

This shot is a perfect example of bad radar since we know the south side has deep convection that doesn't show up on the image...

Did anybody save any Cancun radar images at landfall/during the time of the first post on this topic? I was asleep.

Duh, why didn't I think of that? :roll: Sometimes your brain doesn't work after tracking a Cat 4 slam into a populated place like that. BTW thanks again.
