THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN WAKEFIELD HAS ISSUED A
* TORNADO WARNING FOR...
AMELIA COUNTY IN CENTRAL VIRGINIA
DINWIDDIE COUNTY IN SOUTH CENTRAL VIRGINIA
* UNTIL 415 PM EDT
* AT 336 PM EDT...LAW ENFORCEMENT WAS TRACKING A TORNADO 3 MILES
NORTHWEST OF WINTERHAM IN AMELIA COUNTY...MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 45
MPH.
* THE STORM PRODUCING THE TORNADO WILL REACH...
SCOTTS FORK AND WINTERHAM AROUND 340 PM
MANNBORO AND EARLS AROUND 350 PM
AMMON AND HEBRON AROUND 355 PM
FORD AROUND 400 PM
CENTER STAR AND CHURCH ROAD AROUND 405 PM
DINWIDDIE AND BUTTERWORTH AROUND 410 PM
A TORNADO IS ON THE GROUND IN THE ABOVE MENTIONED AREA. IF YOU ARE IN
OR NEAR THE PATH OF THIS TORNADO...TAKE COVER NOW!
TORNADO ON THE GROUND JUST WEST OF RICHMOND!

Checking the radar it appears that that tornado is still active IMO and is on the S side of Richmond now. Possible hook echo in the storm behind it too!!! http://weather.noaa.gov/radar/loop/DS.p ... kakq.shtml That storm has one wicked signature and worse yet the ones behing it are training rignt in!! Looks like it could set up a flash flooding problem real quickly!! BE SAFE MAMADUDE!!

Yep. The supercell was moving east at 60 mph when just before it merged with the MCC made a right turn (banked towards the SE) and the entire MCC moved from NW to SE ...
