Hmmm

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

No, check the latest fine-scale vis loop. The center is very apparent. It's at least due NW for the past couple hours.

I used to hang out at J. Larkins in my youth--back when it was still located in Nassau Bay. And I managed Louis on the Lake for a bit. Back when it was still there.

You black ops guys are no fun at parties. You get a little liquored up and you start divulging secrets. Then when you start sobering up you feel like you have to "eliminate" all the witnesses. Sheesh. No fun at all, I tell ya.

So, as far as I can tell, I'm the only actual Islander here (as in Galveston Island obviously)?

Since AirforceMet noticed the same NW to NNW motion, I will go with what he said.

There is no doubt it is moving on a general WNW track...but there are wobbles in there to the NW. Recon fixes show almost 300...which is close to NW. It's wobbling, that's it. The It also looks as if the MLC and the LLC are not completly in sync. The MLC seems to to be moving in more of a northerly component than the sfc feature and that is adding to the notion of NW jogs. If you follow the MLC on water vapor...it is very clearly NW. That...of course...is not really good for Emilies structure. Given this...NNW wobbles are not out of the norm. You have to remember a track is a stairstep...not an exact motion. If you take 1 step up and 2 steps over...you are still moving WNW...but you are taking it in steps not exact 295 motion. I noticed stair step...but that doesn't mean it's going to hit Texas (sorry Mr PLEASE HIT TEXAS  ) It means it will wobble some to the north until it feels the firmness of the ridge. That could be in 1 hour...or 10...but it will feel it. No doubt.
