BREAKING NEWS.....Hurricane and TS Warnings Extended N

Hurricane Warnings now in effect from Port Mansfield S to Brownsville. Tropical Storm Warnings now issued N of Baffin Bay to Corpus.

This is per the 3AM Brownsville AFD:

AFTER CONSULTATION
WITH NHC METEOROLOGIST...ALL PARTIES HAVE DECIDED TO GO WITH A
HURRICANE WARNING FROM PORT MANSFIELD SOUTH TO THE MOUTH OF THE RIO
GRANDE RIVER...WITH TROPICAL STORM WARNINGS NORTH OF PORT MANSFIELD
INTO CORPUS CWA.

:eek: Good Morning Brownsville!!!

Very Scary. Like I felt waking up to a Cat 4 Dennis jogging N towards me. Or Opal who went from Cat 1 to Cat 4 overnight and headed towards me.
Or Ivan when the models and cone shifted towards my house (we evacuated but it was stressful thinking our house might be destroyed)

Probably because even if eye landfalls within 40 or 50 miles to the south of Texas-Mexico border, hurricane force winds could still rake extreme south Texas as well as being on northern semicircle of core. Will be interesting once storm enters radar range and tracking can be much easier hr by hr.

Maybe the extended it because she is organizing but is more spread out right now jmo
