"HOLY CH*T!" UNOFFICIALLY, Pinetop just hit the FIRST 100° in recorded history (if my memory and the records are right!) :eek: :eek:

We've been hitting 100F regularly and the past three days we have also had rain so it's been getting a bit sticky as well.

Yes indeed, it's MUGGY as all get out, however, we've YET to have a DRIP/DROP of rain.....just lotsa CG lightning, which means, FIRES!! :cry: We've got numerous spot fires, less than 1 acre in size, PFD along the Forest Service are JUMPING on these little fires but if this dry spell continues, ONE of these fires WILL get away from them which will ultimately lead to another evacuation!!

Congratulations Dennis...the century club!!!

We are beginning to think we're going to have a month of days this summer with 110+. With the moisture deepening, the highs will lower and the lows will stay hot.

Not much fun down here in the Valley each summer, and this one is pretty testy!!!

I can ONLY imagine Steve, my prayers are with you folks. I saw on the news this morning where "12" people have now died from the heat down there :cry: This HAS been and WILL be a 'Summer to Remember!"

Well, I did have .04" of rain yesterday from a brief thunderstorm just before midnight....but humidity levels are surely up. Low of 89 again this morning.

Hang in there. My only concern is there may be a situation setting up comparable to the 1995 heat wave of Chicago. Many died because people did not know how to cope with the heat. I truly hope lessons were learned from that by governments across the nation and precautions are in place to take any actions necessary.

Gulf Surge into YUM this morning sent dewpoints up to 75F and at noon they were 101/72.

Deaths are now up to 18! It *sounds* like the monsoon MAY be in full swing which MAY drop the temps BUT, we aren't giving up the heat index, lower temps means HIGHER humiditiy for SOME......dang sure ain't me, still, not a DROP of rain and there's none on the horizon, seems the monsoon is a Southern Arizona gig this year!!

Hope you all are taking things slow! Seems like your weather if giving a beating too! Sad that there are heat related deaths in your area :( ... looks like at least half the country is gonna be feeling the heat from now through the weekend. Praying your rains reach you soon!
