Havn't updated recently because the weather just has been dull. Unfortunately, it has been dull, summer style. Hot, humid and dry up until last Sunday. We have been in the 90s, upper 90s a couple of days, since the middle of last week. Sunday night we recieved our first raindrops since the beginning of time () it seems. We have had some clusters of storms develop in the Dakotas during the evening and move towards our area overnight the last couple nights.
After mid 90s (heat index of 100 to 106) this afternoon, we may get more thunderstorms tonight/early Friday before we flirt with 100 this weekend.
THEN..........a BIG pattern shif is forecast for Monday night into Wednesday. We may, get this, see highs in the middle 80s!!!
Plus, in the transition, the area may recieve some much needed rainfall.

This is a little late but July 20 at 6:00ish we had a pretty severe thunderstorm. The east and west sea breezes collided practically right over my head. The racing clouds from the east were a lot stronger and pushed the storm away from where my family and I were (at the ball field) and headed north west spinning up an unconfirmed tornado which damaged 5 different mobile home parks and 21,000 without power.
I made a major complaint to the president of the football league telling them they need to get a weather radio at the field. There are hundrends and hundreds of kids and parents at that field. It's just crazy to be standing out there not having a clue like that. BTW, there is always a 30 min. wait when a storm is in the area just in case it blows over.
