I wonder if NHC would actually try and do that?? It would be quite ironic and having met Franklin I wouldn't put it past him to come up with that.

Construction codes have gotten a lot tougher along the east coast of Florida over the last 13 years.

Trailers and modular home construction now withstands cat 1 hurricane force winds.
Even cat 2 winds wont move a trailer with good tie downs.
The awnings and pink flamingoes are another story though.

The banding looks fairly healthy on this system.
A 960 MB hurricane would be a major problem in that location but a tropical storm that is moving pretty quickly might not be too bad.
