Max Mayfield quote

#1 Postby HurricaneJoe22 » Sat Jul 23, 2005 3:57 am

In Friday's Miami Herald:

''I think we have gone only one day in the past month without writing advisories,'' said Max Mayfield, director of the National Hurricane Center in west Miami-Dade County. ``Unbelievable.''

This made me wonder when was the last date there was no TC or Invest.

Looked at my server's log for map uploads and it appears the morning of June 23 would be that time (also my last day off :( )

That's one solid month of tropical activity (including days TPC didn't issue Advisories but there was an Invest).

I'm ready for a long winter's nap and it's not even August yet!

The only differnce between now then August will be we will have 3 named storms forming at once. I watch every tropical basin so it is not unnormal for me to watch many storms. I will keep on learning even faster!
