I have a question. I really didn't want to start a new thread, so I'll ask it here (seeing how we have some time)..lol

Question: Could any of the NHC guys have membership in S2K, and kind of check out we we post? It just seems that some times we get into a good thread about movement, temperature, etc. and when the NHC does its "Disco" it like it answers our question..Just a thought. Any comments?

of course they could as there are NWS guys on here but I think that s2k is usually ahead of NHC on some of the ideas because we don't have to put our money where our mouths are. Ortt nailed Franklin track idea from day 1 but NHC busted, would Ortt do the same thing if he was lead forecaster, who knows!

I would have made the exact same forecast if I were at NHC as the out to sea track was the only one that amde any sense. No data suggested otherwise.

One thing I hate about blowing a forecast, is the lecture that comes afterwards. Like over the lack of surge during Charley. I give a bad forecast during rainex, I am really going to hear about it

Well, since you all are just chit chatting here, during the lull, I have a question. Yea, it may sound silly, but I just want to know.
Has there ever been, or could there be an occassion where the US is hit on both the east coast and west coast at the same time??? Or all 3 coasts...EAST WEST AND GULF??? Is this even possible?? And if it hasn't happened, and if it ever did happen, exactly what occurs???And what would be the results of something like this??
Or am I just thinking too deeply on this??? LOLImage

Franklin just got back from a mini vacation. The forecasters do get time off during the season
