Sticky Suggestion

I was thinking that with the amazing season we are having so far that we should have a sticky on the board that is open for forecasts from everyone. also I was thinking that this same sticky or a seperate one could be open for records this season has broken... people can write in the records they think have been broken (a good amount of research required too btw) and then every once in a while mods could look at the posts and update an official list of records (with all approved records)...

just a thought... especially in consideration that the majority of the threads on the board end up talking about the season...

An experimental forecast forum sounds good. When you click on the page you can have the huge disclaimer and that way everyone wouldn't have to keep posting it.

I think that is a good idea. It would also be a quick way to get iformation for the people (like me) that can't understand the raw information that is coming in on hurricanes. do oyu know what i mean

the only problem i see with the forecast open to everyone sticky is the fact that if you are talking about forecasts for a specific storm...that thread is going to go 10+ pages long really really fast with every member saying "its going to do this" with very few actually backing up why they think that...it would just be a mass thread with very few posts actualy backing up their thoughts...which is why the other forum where only preapproved mets can share...so that it is relelvent information...i personally just dont think there would be enough relevent information in a sticky or thread like that....
and if you want to know what people think of forecasts for the season as a whole...well i saw that thread earlier today....i dont have a link right now...but its there not to far down...

now, your records broken sticky, on the other hand, sounds great...i would love a place where i could quickly look at all the records broken..

I see what you mean about the forecast one... it would be retricted to just season forecasts but like you said not everyone would back there forecast up...
