If there's ever been a wimpier collection of names in a season, I haven't seen it.
Bill? Some dude with a pocket protector and geek glasses.
Claudette? Your secretary's mom.
Danny? *Scary*(!)
Erika? She's a stripper.
Fabian? I'm not risking a PM from the moderators on /Fabian/.
Grace? An actress?
Henri? A bookworm.
Isabel? Isabel? Isabel? ISABEL?
Juan? A cheezy skeezer from a retro-70's disco club complete with gold chain.
Kate? Sounds like the toughest of all the names. Raw and Irish.
Larry? Leisure suit Larry.
Mindy? Will she be there to explain things to Mork from Ork?
Nicholas? Uh gee Nick, got some toys for me?
Odette? I don't even know WHAT to say about Odette.
Peter? Please.
Rose? That's a real menacing name for a storm.
Sam? Sam is a sham.
Teresa? Maybe she'll deliver 2" of rain to the poor.
Victor!!!!!
Wanda? At least Wanda's got some evil connotations, but we're not going to make it that far. If we did, she'd break out her stilletos and take on the Rev. Thornton Gayhell like she used to in the 80's. Oh Wicked Wanda.

Frankly, the naming body could have done much better delivering some scarrier sounding names IMHO.

I remember Tropical Storm Henri making landfall along the New England coast just a few days after Hurricane Gloria did.
I suppose I will go for Fabian or Grace being the strongest and a potential hit along the United States east coast.

Every time you post, I learn a little bit more about your personality. You're obviously a betting-woman. You love betting on high odds, and you love betting when the odds are stacked against you. Sure, winning against big odds gives big payoffs (your Isidore forecast), but most times you lose.
Your 2003 forecast will put in you in a large hole of debt whether you see it coming or not.
Then again, you may not be betting at all. You said you only expect 10 storms this year. Getting to the P or R name is more than ten. You're very funny that way.

Bill-TS, June 21 if I remember my first prediction before Ana messed us all up, probably GOM landfall. Claudette-secretary? Last time we saw Claudette in the Houston region we had 45" of rain in 24 hours over the City of Alvin to our south. It flooded darn near the entire county about waist deep!! I'll say she will be a landfaller, possibly Carribean, and CAT2. Danny-a CAT3 fish. Erika-Danny's cousin, a CAT4 fish. Both Fabian(CAT2) and Grace(CAT3) will visit the E coast. Henri-FL peninsula landfaller(CAT3) and across to N FL or MS coast landfall(CAT1or2). Isabel-CAT2 Central American or Mexican landfall. Juan-CAT1 through the islands into the Carribean and back out into the ATl over PR. Have to agree on Kate sounding the most menacing. Since she should be a late Sept. or early Oct. storm I'll call her as most destructive(CAT4)and as a GOM landfalller also. Larry-Strong TS, possibly W coast of FL landfall. And last but not least Mindy, a late season CAT1 landfalling N of Tampa, exiting near St. Augustine, regenerating over the ATL into a CAT2 and fishing.
Now how's that for going out on a limb. Gut feeling is all it is.
Remember, I have a BIG gut!!!
To say the least I think we will have a VERY INTERETING SEASON which will keep us on our toes, test our skills to the max, and hopefully teach us a few things. ENJOY!!
