I discussed the limitations of the label display a little bit earlier, but rest assured that she is shown in the right place.

I just make a new placemark for each one, and then click the "Advanced" button to enter the latitude and longitude.

Great Job with the Map.

Do you think you could make this a downloadable overlay so each of us could use this with google earth and track the storm in relation to our Storm2K buddies?

I could do it myself if I had a server where I could upload it. Another option would be to put it on a site like http://www.rapidshare.de, but the downloading process can be confusing. I also have a Geocities account, but I don't know how large the file is, so it could possibly exceed my bandwidth limit if many people download it within a short time.

lat 32.712263
long -080.252480

Deg:Min:Sec
lat 32:42:44.147N

mtm, that is amazing. You did a wonderful job. However I think my putting my lat/long in degs/minutes/seconds threw google off. My point is actually not quite right. In decimal I am:
lat=27.9361594319, lon=-82.4911151846

Sorry for the confusion!

cool, i work in miami lakes and ericnmia lives in miami lakes

My grandparents lived in Miami Lakes (Palmetto Palm Ave) from when it was built until about 10 years ago when they moved N to Gainesville.

You know the Barn apartments, and Main Street, where Shula's restaurant is? When I was a kid (1970's,) it was actually a giant concrete BARN, and the whole place surrounding was a cow pasture. The Barn was used as a recreational facailty for area youth during the summer, I can remember many a day spent there (I used to live near Kendall when I was in 2nd and 3rd grades, and of course visited often to see my grandparents while we lived there and before and afterwards as well. It was almost my second home in fact, because we moved around so much but they lived in the same place the entire period.) This explains why I'm a Dolphins fan.

Storm 2K Members Map - Update #2

I've updated the maps through bevgo's post.

There are too many to post here, so I just put them up on this site:

http://www.geocities.com/storm2kmembers

Edit: Well, that didn't work too well. I was trying to refresh the site to make sure my images were on there correctly, and it seems that my allocated bandwidth has already been exceeded. Can anyone help?

Zowie! At work at my friends gift shop all day and come home to see what is new...thanks Cycloneye and super thanks mtm, I was fine with what you did, but the update at Cycloneye's encouragement is terrific! Hopefully you'll get the space you need to do this - it is a very exciting project you've undertaken. Applause!

No problem ;)

I've got unlimited bandwidth and a few 100MBs of space, so you're hardly putting a nick in it

Amazing work you've done.
