"Will & Grace" v. "Desperate Housewives" - pairing Will against Bree, Susan against Jack, Lynette against Grace, and Gabrielle (not housewife, not the sidekick) against Karen...based on personality and attitude.

(Warning: From the website affiliated with a gay-oriented magazine. There's nothing vulgar in the article or on any of the ads. For the most part, it's all pretty PG-13. But in case you prefer not to go to certain sites, there's fair warning. :) )

New spoilers

Episode 2.01: Title Unknown
Airdate: September 25, 2005

07/25 - We will learn what happens with Mike when he goes into the house. Rex really is dead. Alfre Woodard's character was a concert pianist, but is now involved with something very dark and spooky. Source: Statements by Marc Cherry at TCA
07/11 - Bree identifies the body of her dead husband, while John is in jail, a few cellblocks away from Carlos. Lynette has a series of job interviews at an ad agency, which go quite well. Gabrielle is in the hospital with a broken arm, and a detective is taking a statement. Kendra's dad died, and she tries to get the autopsy report. Source: SpoilerFix.com

Episode 2.02: Title Unknown
Airdate: Fall 2005

07/22 - One of the housewives is late with her newspaper payments, and gets in a fight with the paperboy. Source: SpoilerFix.com
07/20 - One of the housewives is hitting up different therapists for medication. Gabrielle brings cash to a woman in a bad neighborhood, which she ultimately holds on to herself. Source: SpoilerFix.com
07/19 - Lynette settles in at her job, and is being pitched an ad campaign by two young writers. One of the housewives is visited by the mother of someone who died, and the mother is crying all the time, in the restaurant, at the drycleaner. Source: SpoilerFix.com

Episode 2.03: Title Unknown
Airdate: Fall 2005

07/28 - Gabrielle gets a new gardener, again. One of the housewives has to do a lie-detector test at the police station. Seems like there's a Mrs. Robinson-situation (like the movie) going on, again. Persons involved are yet to be identified. Source: SpoilerFix.com

Season 2 General Spoilers:

07/26 - Variety reports that Richard Burgi (playing Susan's ex-husband) is a series regular in season 2. Perhaps this is Edie's relationship that doesn't sit well with Susan? Source: Variety
07/25 - I'm hearing that Rex really is dead. His funeral will have an open casket, and it’s open long enough for a darkly comic storyline involving Bree and Rex’s mother fighting over what kind of tie he will wear. Zach [highlight if you want to be that spoiled... is indeed Mike's son.] I've heard that Kelly Monaco will be on the show. Source: Kristin on E!Online
07/25 - Susan will find out about Zach's relationship to Mike. Gabrielle finds a way to convince Carlos the baby is his. Bree will fight with Rex' mother (played by Shirley Knight). Edie will start a relationship, which does not sit well with Susan. Source: Statements at TCA

Hey Shawn....here's something to drool over, while you're crawling on the desert floor waiting for season 2....Marcia Cross is featured on the cover of a current hairstyle magazine...forget title, maybe something to do with Celebrity Hairstyles? Her hair is curly, instead of straight for a change. She looks as pretty as she does on DH! So rush out and buy this issue....

Yes I'm still trying to find "my" hairstyle.....and then have to decide who I'll go to. Without a hairdresser right now.....

M.

PS - oh I have to tell you all something so funny! A friend of mine lives in a suburb, started the same year as ours. She asked me if some of the homes on our street have had many owners now (after 16 years). I said half have had turnovers and of course younger families.....then she said the street next to her (small culdesac) has 7 divorced women on it!!! SEVEN!!! I said that sounds like a soap opera to me and a contractor's dream come true!!! Picturing Nicollette Sheridan opening the front door in skimpy clothing, to have her repairs done.

Had to buy another software CD for my camera from Ebay. (Note to self -- just because it's a CD doesn't mean it belongs with all your music. ) Now that I bought another one, the original will probably turn up.

Anyway, finally got the pics uploaded.

Not sure what's up with the one close-up...it's too bright. Notice I made sure to get S2K in the pic. :)

Cool pics Shawn! Is that a sign that says simply, "Imagine" on your wall? If so, my daughter Laura would love one for her room. She's a devoted John Lennon fan and practiced for many months, learning his long version of Imagine, to play at her piano recital. I had goose bumps when she performed!

Got off on a tangent there.....LOL

Yup, Mary, it is an "Imagine" sign, but it's not mine...nor my wall...nor my Emmy. I didn't even feel worthy enough to *touch* the Emmy! From the photo, it looks like the Emmy is on the computer monitor. But actually, it's sitting on one of those small display shelves that attaches right into the corner of the wall. To the left of the "Imagine" sign is the certificate that goes along that Emmy (she has two certificates, but just one statuette -- two Emmy awards for two different documentaries).

I'll have to ask where she got the sign next time I see her.

Tangents are okay. :) After all, you're a mom who is proud of her daughter. Very cool. :D I bet it was beautiful to hear. Has she ever seen "Mr. Holland's Opus?" A Lennon fan who is also a musician would love that one.

Years ago we watched that movie. But I'm sure she was too young to remember it. I'll rent it soon, thanks for the reminder.

I'm going to search for that Imagine sign! I'll just google it.....she has her iPod engraved with "John Lennon" "Imagine all the people". Two lines, one on each. I saw it and said, how about your name (thinking as a mom, if she loses it). The look on her face - my name instead of John Lennon's? A few years ago both our daughters wanted to know if we had any Beatles music on CD. We had bought a double disc set, their greatest hits. And of course have their work, not everything, on vinyl (we are baby boomers). Heck, I probably have a few 45's too.....he he. They started listening to these greatest hits discs and long story short, they know more about the Beatles than I do at times! It's true. They each have Beatles T-shirts (Laura, at least 4), their own music now, etc. I guess my vague comments over the years did the trick. I've been known to say many, many times - the saddest day in Rock & Roll is when Dec. 8, 1980 happened. THE saddest I still say (Elvis did himself in, very sad, but he didn't have to over-medicate himself to that extreme), we were robbed of Lennon. I could cry all over again.

Another tangent....on a DH thread....wow, you can tell the show is in reruns....LOL

I promise not to do this in the Fall - I'll stay on subject....
