Saw the Pilot for the first time tonight. Freaking awesome. I don't know if it'll hold my interest though. Not a big fan of slow moving plots like this.

Well, I recorded it and hopefully will find time to watch the pilot tomorrow. I'm going to really try to catch up. I watched a few episodes, just not in order, reruns aired between new batches. And I was just as confused as all of you were.

? - are they going to air the entire season, at 10 p.m. on Wednesday nights now? Over the summer? I hope so.

They should get most of the episodes in... they are going to have to double up to get all 26 hours(I think) in since there's only 16 Wednesdays by my count, but it will air at 10pm and then first-run episodes at 9pm ET starting in September.

Thanks Brent. I wondered if they'd be able to fit them all in. I'm looking forward to at least trying to catch up.

They've got the same problem with DH. They are promoting both as "watch them from the beginning" i.e. new viewers get hooked in time for the Fall Season. I don't know how it's going to work as of now.

I wondered if DH would follow suit. They should, since both shows were breakout major hits. I did miss a few DH eps early on, but thankfully caught up quickly with that show. With Lost, it was impossible to catch up! So many of my former favorite shows fall into this category - you miss the pilot and a handful of episodes but hear how good the show is. If you start watching right then, you CAN catch up. I did with Northern Exposure and Cheers, years ago. But with Lost, wow it's downright impossible!

Speaking of Cheers, tonight on TVLand at 8:30 EDT, the episode "Sisterly Love" will air with Marcia Cross in the role of Rebecca's sister, Susan. She was 27 at the time...now she's 43 and still spectacular-looking. :)

Shawn - hey thanks. Being offline for over a week and being so busy lately, I'm really out the loop, news wise, TV show wise, etc. I've been longing to just sit down and watch a few reruns or a movie lately. I think I'll tape it. I cannot remember this episode to save my life though! Rebecca's sister - zilch is coming up in the memory dept.! LOL

Same here... I didn't start watching until the Mrs. Huber murder at the end of November for DH. The whole "One Housewife would be gone... forever" sucked me in. For several weeks the plots didn't make sense, but I still enjoyed the show. The 2nd episode airs this Sunday at 9pm ET(Pilot was Last Sunday). I can finally say that since the NBA Finals ended last night(Game 7, if necessary was going to be on Sunday Night).

I started trying to watch Lost at the end of April but absolutely nothing made sense.

Same here! All I got from watching the few Lost episodes I saw were - 1. there was a plane crash, with survivors. 2. possibly survivors from a previous plane crash. and 3. there was a 'monster' for lack of a better term living and breathing on the island, devouring survivors. And oh yeah, a few survivors were up to no good - the bald guy for starters. I knew enough that the doc was good as was his sidekick, the girl. See, that's about all I got out of it! But I was slightly hooked and hoped they're re-air the first season, in order over the summer. I got my wish!

I have another 'new' show to watch next season - Lost! Watched the pilot and this Wednesday's episode, back to back. (parts 1 and 2) Was the original pilot aired this way, over 2 hours? Watched it with my daughter Laura, who said she hopes she doesn't have nightmares tonight. A good friend of hers watched Lost this past season. Laura said she's calling her tomorrow, to ask her a bunch of questions. I said well, there's a Lost topic on my wx boards (insert #257 smirk from one of my family members here, ;-), ) and I'm going to go read it. Read it I did and I'm a little less in the dark. But still very confused!!!

? - is Kate really a murderer?

It was aired as 2 parts originally, then re-aired on a Saturday as both parts together.

I'm behind... due to Arlene I didn't watch Wednesday Night(but I did record) 10pm is a tough slot when there's a tropical system since that's advisory time.

FWIW: Lost will air August 31, September 7, and September 14 from 9-11pm ET(two episodes), so the entire season will be shown.

My family and I are watching Lost, from pilot forward. Right now we're up to the point where Hurley sets up a golf course! And the French chick (wowee, she's crazy!) kidnaps Sayaid (sp?)......I really like his character, more than ever, knowing he let the girl escape in Iraq.

Did you all find yourself wanting Kate with several men (not at the same time, mind you)! First I wanted her with Jack but she has a connection with Sayaid.....then God help me, but there's something slightly likeable with Sawyer.....collective groan now.....LOL I keep thinking she's going to get thru to him and he'll finally be helpful to the group. Not quite trustworthy but at least pitching in and helping out.

I just saw the above double airings to fit in Season 1 before Season 2 premieres. I wish they'd air double episodes right now! Now is when we have down time.....oh well.

I'll be caught up and will know what the heck you're all talking about in the Fall now!

Well, you told me Hurley did something hilarious and I wondered what it would be. I really like his character too....who wouldn't, a big, cuddly, teddy bear that one he is. I had to laugh at a recent comment from Charlie.....he wondered why Hurley hadn't lost any weight and maybe he was keeping food hidden! I must admit my mind goes in these directions. Like how are they able to look clean still. How is Kate able to pluck those eyebrows so expertly, out in the jungle.....LOL When Sawyer offered up sunscreen, Laura said - hey, why aren't they all sunburned by now? LOL

The hypochondriac was funny.....Laura said, where'd that guy come from.....I reminded her he's a minor character, there are what 46 survivors now?

Question.....do they see the French lady again?

Do you REALLY want me to tell you?!!! lol - yes, they do see her again.

There is another scene with Hurley and Charlie that had me falling out laughing! Well, not really the scene, but something Hurley said. It has to do with Ethan. I don't want to give too much away, but just pay attention and you'll know what I am talking about!

Yeah, probably not. Laura doesn't want to know what's coming. She hides behind a pillow half the time, thinking a monster is going to strike. She keeps asking ME questions, knowing I know more than she knows right now. All I know is, it's all very confusing, I keep saying. And it's not a normal island....do I have that correct? he he

Does anyone really understand what's going on with Lost? I guess I would just like to know that answer. I've read that the cast is clueless as well....only a handful of writers know what's coming. And they don't even have a set plan!!!! Who's flying this plane....LOL

Whatever...it has hooked us....big time.

I love the golf course scene too and Mary, I've grown quite fond of Sawyer. Image I didn't like him at first but somehow, that bad boy will grow on ya. lol

For such a serious, creepy show, it sure has its funny moments and I like that. I 'm glad you're enjoying it. It only gets better!

We want back to back episodes now! One hour a week when we don't have any other "new" (new to us) shows to juggle, is not enough.

And no previews.....what's up with that? LOL

There's something about Sawyer....I don't want Kate with him but it would be nice if he could be a friend to most, if not all. They are stuck there!

Besides Kate, there aren't many women that seem to be front and center. We like the pregnant girl, Claire. She is so sweet! The Korean lady seems nice (hoping she leaves that scumbag hubby, heard she does) and well, I can't stand Boone's "sister" Shannon (I remember seeing an episode last year where they were intimate, so I know they're not blood siblings, step correct?).....

I'm sure I'll have more comments as the episodes air!

Just found this on msnbc.com

New character to appear on ‘Lost’

Emeka is described as a mysterious character who wants something

Updated: 10:54 p.m. ET July 27, 2005
BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. - As if the island on “Lost” weren’t mysterious enough — a new character will appear in the second season who’s described as “mysterious.”

Apparently, he won’t stay mysterious for long. ABC says the reason he’s there and what he wants will be revealed in one of the early episodes of the upcoming season.

The character’s name is Emeka. He’s played by Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje. He’s a law graduate-turned-actor who’s been in “Congo,” “Oz,” “The Mummy Returns” and “The Bourne Identity.”

The second season of “Lost” starts September 21st.
